Visa requirements
If you are coming to Peru to volunteer, you need a Tourist Visa. Countries like USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the EU receive automatically a Tourist Visa. With the Tourist Visa, you can stay from 90 up to 183 days. The same happens with most countries from South America. Check the list to see if your country requires a special Visa. If your volunteering is going to last more than 183 days, you will need to ask for a Temporary Visa. If you stay longer than your Visa allowes, it will cost you $1.5 (4 Peruvian Soles).
If your country doesn't need to apply for a Tourist Visa and your volunteering is going to last less than 183 days, you don't need to do any visa process. If this is not your situation, you need to apply for the Temporary Visa. The best way is to get in contact with Peruvian representation institution in your country. Look for the Peruvian Consulate. Download the Peruvian Directory of Consulates Abroad.
