If you are a student and want to do your unpaid internship in Peru, you do not need a special visa. You can enter as a tourist. Normally you get a permission of 183 or 90 days. With the permission you are allowed to do unpaid work until 30 hours a week. Please make sure you inform yourself about the general visa requirements of Peru. If you need a visa or not always depends on which country you come from. Residents of the European Union, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the US do not need to apply for a visa if entering as a tourist.

If you want to do a paid internship in Peru you need a temporal visa. The company in which you are going to do you internship need to apply in Peru for your visa.
